I had to pay $40 a while back to get a tow truck driver off my case. I was at a friend's apartment (this was pre-z). We heard the tow truck roll up outside the window. He didn't even have the car hooked up, but had it blocked in. Refused to move and said he would tow it. I would have simply driven over the curb, down the sidewalk, and left, but since I (and everybody else) was already about three sheets to the wind, I decided it wasn't a good idea. Would've ended up in jail with a dui instead of a $40 bullshit tow charge.
